ABOUT THE SPEAKER

PHILIP BRADFORD

SA Head of Investments, PortfolioMetrix

Philip has more than 20 years’ experience in global asset allocation and fixed income. His role at PortfolioMetrix includes fund management responsibilities in the income and multi-asset space as well as being a key member of PortfolioMetrix’s global investment committee.

Philip began his career at Investec in 1999, where he worked for 9 nine years in asset management, wealth advisory, and as a bond and interest rate trader. From 2008 to 2014 he worked at Absa Wealth as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

Prior to joining PortfolioMetrix, Philip was the CIO at Sasfin Asset Managers. As the fund manager of the flagship Flexible Income and Balanced funds, he won two Morningstar awards and four Raging Bull awards.

Part of his current responsibilities includes managing the PortfolioMetrix BCI Dynamic Income fund. Philip is a past President of CFA Society South Africa, a member of the FTSE/JSE Index Advisory Committee, and is accredited as a CFA Ethics Trainer.
